Darian Elvis Atwood
Guitar | Vocals
Darian has been surrounded by music and music production his whole young life. His dad is the Music Playback Engineer for The Beatles Love at The Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. He started singing before he could talk (Thanks to “The Wiggles”) and at around age 5 or so, learned how to use a microphone and to record and edit music.
He was accepted into the KO Knudson Academy of the Arts Middle School where he studied music theory and choir. He was then accepted into the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts High School where he continued to study music theory and voice.
He is a member of ASCAP and currently spends his time composing music for 17° Below, himself, and others in his home studio. His DAW of choice is Ableton Live. He uses Melodyne by Celemony for vocal tuning and Native Instruments ‘Guitar Rig’ for guitar tones when recording.

Deven Neal Balding
Guitar | Vocals
Deven hates writing bios. He was recently heard saying, “Anything that gets in the way of the search for the ultimate hair product is a waste of time”. He hails from a small town in southeastern Illinois, but has spent most of his life in Las Vegas, NV. He was accepted to The famed Berklee College of Music, but due to COVID-19, has been attending remotely. He will soon be traveling to Boston, MA to attend in person. He met Darian while attending the Las Vegas Academy for the Performing Arts, and the rest is, as they say, history. He is a member of ASCAP.
Deven lists his musical influences as Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail and Mayday Parade.
Deven has quite the collection of Fender Guitars but isn’t afraid to sling a classic Gibson SG from time to time.
Bryton Valentine
Drums | Vocals
Bryton likes drums. He originally learned to play drums for self-defense reasons, but soon realized he actually enjoyed it. To now protect the band, Bryton has adopted the sticking techniques of his ancient drum ancestors such as: Blink-182’s Travis Barker, Twenty One Pilots‘ Josh Dunn, and AJR’s Jack Met. He is also a member of ASCAP.
Bryton weapons of choice are Vic Firth Drum Sticks and Zildjian Cymbals for their craftsmanship and combat durability.

Johnny Curley

Johnny Curley is the bassist of Las Vegas alt rock band 17* Below. He also contributes backing vocals.
